Good weather, all year round

The weather seems to have made a pact with serenity in Madeira. The seasons come and go, but the climate stays mild, with no extreme changes - let's take a closer look.

In winter, the days are pleasantly cool, with temperatures rarely dropping below 15 °C, making it a perfect invitation for walks along the 'levadas' or visits to the viewpoints, where the green landscape is even more vibrant. Spring comes early and the gardens begin to explode with colour. This is one of the best times to explore Madeira's nature, with the average temperature hovering between 18 °C and 22 °C and the sun peeking out generously through the clouds.

In summer, the heat is moderate, with highs of around 25 °C. There are no sweltering heatwaves - but instead, gentle breezes, long days taking dips in the sea and golden evenings. It's the perfect season to enjoy the beaches, natural pools and nature trails in the central parts of the island, where large trees protect you from the sun. Autumn brings a special light to the island. The temperatures remain mild, the days remain long and the atmosphere becomes more serene. It's time for grape harvesting, intense flavours and walks through sceneries that combine green and gold.
