As temperaturas médias do ar variam entre os 25º e os 17ºC.

A posição geográfica privilegiada e a orografia montanhosa, conferem à ilha da Madeira uma espantosa amenidade climática com temperaturas médias muito suaves e uma humidade moderada.
A água do mar é igualmente muito temperada, por influência da corrente quente do Golfo, apresentando temperaturas médias que variam entre os 22° C e os 18ºC.

Madeira has 14 Blue Flags

Thanks to the natural beauty and excellent state of conservation of its beaches, 14 bathing areas on the Madeira Islands have been awarded the "blue flag” for this summer.

This distinction is awarded annually through the evaluation of 32 criteria, 28 of which are of mandatory compliance and are broken down into groups for "Environmental Information and Education", “Water Quality", “Environmental Management and Equipment" and “Safety and Services".
The 14 flags are distributed among the 9 municipalities of the Madeira and Porto Santo islands
