Camping in public forest areas is a regulated activity and requires the respective licensing, issued by the Forest and Nature Conservation Institute (IFCN - Instituto das Florestas e Conservação da Natureza, IP-RAM).
Therefore, and in order to promote best practices in the environment, we inform that in natural areas it is forbidden to make fires and to be able to camp in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, it is necessary to obtain a license in advance, which can be requested digitally at Simplifica website: simplifica.madeira.gov.pt
