Tables set with elegance and a professional service, very competent and attentive. It offers a varied menu of traditional dishes - fish soup, grilled limpets, shrimp sautéed with Madeira wine, black scabbard fish fillet with banana and passion fruit sauce, steak on a hot stone - and some international cuisine - crunchy goat cheese with roasted vegetables, grilled T-bone steak, roasted potatoes with paprika and rosemary. There are good offers of Madeiran wines on the wine list.
