The wineries are located in a historic, listed building in the centre of Funchal and are the heart of Blandy family's wine business, where for 211 years and 7 generations, Madeira's finest wines have aged using the traditional 'Canteiro' method.
It is possible to visit the family museum, take guided tours or wine tastings.
Blandy's Wine Lodge is currently the heart of the family's wine business, where over 650 barrels and vats are stored, ageing the family's finest wines following the traditional 'canteiro' method.
There are guided tours from Monday to Friday, allowing you to visit the various areas of the winery. It is also possible to visit the family museum, or the Max Römer Room, with murals by the famous German artist, and the Frasqueira Room - the cathedral of Blandy's rarest and oldest Madeira wines - where you can taste wines dating back to the early 20th century, such as Blandy's Bual 1920.
