The island of Madeira, because of its privileged geographical position and mountainous relief, have a surprisingly mild climate.Very mild average temperatures, 25ºC in the summer and 17ºC in the winter, and a moderate level of humidity, confer upon this island exceptional subtropical features.
The seawater temperature is also very mild, because of the influence of the warm Gulf current, presenting averages of 22ºC in the summer and 18º in the winter.

The Annual Tourism Conference is anually organized by the Delegation of the Order of Economists of Madeira, a gathering whose central theme is adjusted to the trends of the tourist industry and to the needs of Madeira as a tourist destination.

The event takes place at the Madeira Congress Center, in Funchal, and always includes three distinct panels, which include interventions by a wide range of national and international speakers from different areas, followed by a moment of debate in order to have a more of the different realities and their interaction with Tourism in Madeira.
