The island of Madeira, because of its privileged geographical position and mountainous relief, have a surprisingly mild climate.Very mild average temperatures, 25ºC in the summer and 17ºC in the winter, and a moderate level of humidity, confer upon this island exceptional subtropical features.
The seawater temperature is also very mild, because of the influence of the warm Gulf current, presenting averages of 22ºC in the summer and 18º in the winter.

Location

The tropical flora of Ajuda Garden is noteworthy, for it contains 16 different species of palm trees. This space also has a specific area for children and sports.

Situated near the Lido area, the Ajuda Garden opened to the public in 2005. This space has an area of around 11,800 m2.
This leisure space features a specific children’s area, a field for the practice of "petaca", a basketball hoop, two ping-pong tables and three tables for games.
