The Euro is the official Portuguese currency since January 2002
VAT and Taxes
If you live outside the European Union, you are entitled to a VAT refund on your purchases. Make sure the shop is tax refund compliant and don't forget to ask for the tax free document at checkout.

Emergency No.
112 is the European Emergency Number and MUST ONLY be used in Emergencies.
