Kitesurf trip to achieve world record
The world record holder Francisco Lufinha, for the longest kitesurfing trip without stops, finished yesterday the first stage of the Mini Kitesurf Odyssey, crossing the Atlantic Ocean between the islands of Selvagens and Madeira, where his greatest adversaries were the cold and the wind.
This 31 year old Portuguese man, very fond of water sports,  arrived at Funchal pier in the late afternoon, after accomplishing a 300 km trip, which took him 12 hours to cover the distance.
Although the aimed world record wasn’t achieved, the Portuguese athlete will continue to cross his country, promising plenty of excitement.
