The island of Madeira, because of its privileged geographical position and mountainous relief, have a surprisingly mild climate.Very mild average temperatures, 25ºC in the summer and 17ºC in the winter, and a moderate level of humidity, confer upon this island exceptional subtropical features.
The seawater temperature is also very mild, because of the influence of the warm Gulf current, presenting averages of 22ºC in the summer and 18º in the winter.

Civil Protection APP launched

On 6 April last, Madeira Civil Protection services, an entity under the authority of the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion and Social Affairs, launched a new APP service, a device which is compatible with both IOS and Android.

Raising awareness regarding Civil Protection information to both locals and visitors is essential for the optimization of the Regional Civil Protection Services, IP-RAM.

The use of these new technologies in order to dissiminate relevant content is crucial in reaching new audiences. Moreover, its is an effective and fast communication tool .

This application is a complementary service to the common rescue service mechanisms representing an added value to all users.
