PR1 - Vereda do Areeiro
This route has an extension of VN 7.4km (north trail) and VS 8.7km (south trail) and has a duration of 3.30 hours connecting the two highest peaks of Madeira, it is a sensational hike, with tunnels, a few steep climbs and descents and breathtaking views of the heart of the Massif Central.

This walk has a duration of 3 hours, begins with a relatively short ascent to the highest summit of Madeira, Pico Ruivo, from where it begins a long and almost continuous descent to the village of Ilha. -

This trail of 2,8km and duration of 1.30 hours allows you to get to the highest summit of the island, Pico Ruivo.

PR 15 - Vereda da Ribeira da Janela
Distance: 2,7 Km Degree of dificulty: Moderate
This walk follows the course of an old footpath used by local people to bring wood from the forest. The general trend is downhill. -
PR 2 - Vereda do Urzal
Distance: 10,3 Km Degree of dificulty: Moderate
This trail starts at Fajã dos Cardos, located in the parish of Curral das Freiras and follows an ancient path, once used by residents to connect the south and the north coast of Madeira Island. -
PR 20 - Vereda do Jardim do Mar
Temporarily closed Distance: 1.9 Km Degree of dificulty: Easy
The route is located in the west of Madeira island, and links the village of Prazeres to the pituresque village of Jardim do Mar. -
PR 21 - Caminho do Norte
Distance: 3.2 Km Degree of dificulty: Moderate
The trail starts at Boca da Encumeada and ends at Ribeira Grande, in the parish of São Vicente, at an altitude of between 1000 and 320 metres. -
PR 22 - Vereda do Chão dos Louros
Distance: 1.9 Km Degree of dificulty: Easy
As a circular trail, there are many different ways of doing it, and it can be started from various points. -
PR 3 –Vereda do Burro (Pico do Areeiro – Ribeira das Cales)
Temporarily closed Distance: 7,2 km Degree of dificulty: EasyFootpath linking Pico do Areeiro and Funchal ecological Park Welcome Centre, passing through areas with typical high-altitude flora and fauna of Madeira.

PR 3.1 - Caminho Real do Monte (Ribeira das Cales - Monte)
Distance: 4.2 km Degree of dificulty: EasyThe path from Ribeira das Cales to Monte is a link between the natural mountainous environment of the Funchal Ecological park and the historic centre of the parish of Monte, with its interesting heritage of buildings.

Distance: 5.2 km Degree of dificulty: EasyThe Poço da Neve - Casa do Barreiro route connects the built heritage, the nature and the wide Funchal city views, following largely Levada do Barreiro, on the left bank of Ribeiro de Santa Luzia valley.
