The island of Madeira, because of its privileged geographical position and mountainous relief, have a surprisingly mild climate.Very mild average temperatures, 25ºC in the summer and 17ºC in the winter, and a moderate level of humidity, confer upon this island exceptional subtropical features.
The seawater temperature is also very mild, because of the influence of the warm Gulf current, presenting averages of 22ºC in the summer and 18º in the winter.

The Galomar Lido Beach Complex, awarded with a blue flag, forms part of the first holiday resort in the Caniço area. This pleasant beach, protected by cliffs, has a lift with panoramic views.

Also available here are a bar service, a range of games, a children’s pool, bathrooms, a lifeguard and a medical post.
