Madeira's east coast has a large recreational area with excellent conditions. Located in the municipality of Machico, the Água de Pena Sports Park is a multipurpose complex, ready to receive a wide variety of sports.
This bold project was developed under the platform of the Madeira International Airport. It was designed with the aim of promoting sports and offering the local population a large facility focused on leisure for all ages.
So, the Água de Pena Sports Park has more than a dozen multipurpose fields and courts. Among them, there is a sand field suitable for beach football and volleyball. You can also enjoy areas prepared for hockey, skating, futsal, mini-basketball, volleyball, handball, football, tennis, padel, squash, as well as an area for skateboarding or bmx, and one for extreme sports such as slide and climbing.
At the centre of the complex there is a large amphitheatre that can host a variety of shows. The Água de Pena Sports Park also has access to a nautical club, a gym, restaurant areas, gardens, cafés and terraces, toilets, children's areas, commercial spaces, maintenance circuits and 311 parking spaces.
